If you’ve been diving into the beautiful landscapes of Japan in Forza Horizon 6, you’re probably already hunting down those elusive, rust-covered pieces of automotive history. One of the absolute best early-game gems you can get your hands on is the legendary 1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500. This C-class classic is a fantastic all-rounder for early race setups, but tracking it down can be a bit tricky if you don't know where to look. It is tucked deep inside a dense forest on a small wooded hill in the Ito region, just waiting to be restored. Here is exactly how to unlock the rumor, find the barn, and get this iconic ride into your garage. How to Unlock the RumorBefore you go off-roading into the woods, you can't just drive up to the barn right away. Like all classic Horizon barn finds, you have to trigger the official rumor first. Fortunately, this one pops up pretty early in your journey. Here is what you need to do:
Discover the Japan Journal: Keep pushing through your main campaign activities until you earn the Green Stamp.
Hit the Required Progression Level: The rumor will officially unlock on your map once you reach the "Tourist" progression level.
Once you hit these milestones, a large gray search circle will appear over the southern part of the Ito region, and you're good to go hunting. Exact Barn Location: Step-by-StepWhen you are ready to find the car, ignore the center of the search circle and head straight toward the western edge of the zone. Here is the exact path to take:
Find the Junction: Drive out to the western section that juts out from the Ito region and locate the large, main crossing road junction.
Spot the Hidden Path: Right at this junction, look toward the south. You will see an inconspicuous, narrow dirt and gravel pathway leading directly off the asphalt and into the thick forest.
Climb the Hill: Follow this dirt path as it winds up a small hill. Keep your eyes on the trees just off the side of the track—the barn is nestled right among them on the hillside.
Vehicle Stats & Restoration TimeOnce you find the hidden structure and trigger the cutscene, your new Sierra Cosworth will be hauled off to your garage. Because it’s a C-class vehicle with balanced, mid-range stats, the restoration crew won't keep you waiting too long. It only takes about one to two hours of real-time gameplay for the car to be fully restored to mint condition. When it's ready, it drops into your collection with these stock performance specs:
Speed: 5.6
Handling: 4.4
Acceleration: 4.3
Launch: 2.4
Braking: 3.4
Offroad: 5.3
With a solid 5.3 off-road score right out of the gate, it makes a killer dirt-track rally build, or you can easily spec it out into a high-grip tarmac machine for regional street races. Happy hunting, and see you on the roads of Ito!
