Dear users,
Recently, given the wide spread of COVID-19 across the world, we have seen a huge backlog of parcels due to increasing reductions of international flights. In an effort to deliver the parcels as fast as possible, Wuhan Post decides to boost the logistics efficiency by shipping some parcels via railway or high-end direct sea transport. Here are a few things you should know if you send parcels using Wuhan EMS:
1. A tracking number will be generated once your parcel is shipped out of the warehouse. However, since your parcel will not be shipped via Wuhan EMS locally, instead, it will be transferred from Guangdong Warehouse to Wuhan City (probably within 2-3 working days) for global transportation by Wuhan Post, during which the logistics tracking will not be updated and updates shown in "Logistics Details" will be delayed as well. Please wait patiently for 3-4 working days, and then you can check the logistics tracking for the corresponding parcel by going to "Logistics Details" or EMS website using the tracking number.
2. In the coming days, all the parcels sent via Wuhan EMS will be reasonably allocated by Wuhan Post according to the actual shipping space arrangement, and will be sent through railway or high-end direct sea transport to make them delivered as fast as possible. If you prefer air transport via EMS, please select “EMS” or other air transport-based lines for small parcels when submitting your parcel (Note: under current circumstances, it is possible that the above lines will also utilize the combination of railway and sea transport in the near future); if you select Wuhan EMS during parcel submission, it is highly likely that Wuhan Post will ship you parcel via railway or high-end direct sea transport. Thanks for your understanding!
FAQs:
1. Will the transit time be longer?
Compared with insufficient capacity currently seen in air transport, railway or high-end direct sea transport can be a real time-saver. For parcels on the long waiting list for shipping space in air flights, if shipped by sea, they may have arrived at the destination country for delivery.
2. Will the shipping fee be reduced?
The shipping fee will remain the same. What Wuhan EMS offers is the type of high-end direct sea transport, which makes the cost comparable to that of air transport, so there is no room for price reduction.
3. Between railway and high-end direct sea transport, can I choose which one to use?
Under current circumstances, no senders nor receivers can choose whether the parcels will be shipped by sea, railway or air. All parcels will be allocated reasonably by Wuhan Post in accordance with the actual shipping space arrangement. According to data currently available, parcels shipped via high-end direct sea transport account for 70% of the total shipment volume (the data is for reference only).
