Upon notice from logistics provider, Brazil Post has issued the Universal Postal Union circular stating that according to the regulations of the UPU and its domestic legal requirements, for parcels arriving in Brazil on or after January 1, 2020, the sender must provide the receiver's tax code information in advance, otherwise the risk of return, failure to arrange customs clearance, etc. shall be borne by the receiver.
Please fill in the receiver's tax code information correctly as shown in the figure below. The tax code of natural person is called CPF code with the format of 000.000.000-00; the tax code of legal person is called CNPJ code with the format of 00.000.000/0000-00.
In order to avoid the risk of parcel return and customs clearance failure, we suggest that you update the receiving address information as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding and support!
