#Supersports# Chinese Lion Dance

Hello. I am a Chinese Lion Dancer, and have danced for 14 years now. Since age 6, I have been involved with Chinese Lion Dance. Chinese Lion Dance is an event where two performers are in a Lion Constume, one in the head and one in the tail. As a child, I was fascinated by the movements of the Lion - every move was so elegant and catlike, and the atmosphere of the Chinese Lion Dance was so festive and cheering! Starting from 6th grade, I have actively been the Lion Head, performing with my team at restaurant openings, wedding celebrations, and of course every Chinese New Year. Below are the pictures of my lion dance outfit picture. Center to the core aesthetic are the team tee shirt and the lion dance pants. The accessories of the lion dance belt is used for stunts, and the lion dance shoes with fur are custom ordered. The pants and the shoes are my absolute favorite.  First is a picture of me right after changing from a performance, just to show you all who is me. Next, I am the head of the red and gold lion. I have always been the head, and my brother has always been then tail, since we were young.Chinese New Year, I would join my team and perform.
