Must-Know About EU’s New Tax Policy

Dear EU customers, Many of you are concerned about the new tax policy to be implemented by Europe Customs on July 1. Upon our verification with many parties, the highlights of the policy are as follows: 1.Starting July 1, 2021, VAT shall be required for all commercial goods imported from third countries or regions to the EU, regardless of the parcel value; 2. Starting July 1, 2021, all parcels arriving in EU member states shall be accompanied with IOSS No. or VAT No.; 3. Starting July 1, 2021, you need to provide the corresponding 6-digit HS Code for parcels arriving in EU member states when placing delivery orders; 4. In case of no IOSS No. or VAT No. for goods pending customs clearance, VAT shall be paid at the port of entry, which shall be in the country of the recipient. Superbuy pays close attention to the above policy changes, but as a platform of shopping agent and forwarding service, rather than a direct seller or logistics company or a local EU company, we currently cannot pay taxes for users by registering for IOSS or VAT No. Therefore, given the above tax policies, all users need to register for IOSS or VAT number in advance. If you send parcels to EU countries starting July 1, please leave the IOSS number or VAT number in remarks when you place order, and we will provide such number to the logistics provider for shipment, and make sure the parcels will undergo smooth customs clearance. Parcels that are sent in June and arrive in the EU after July 1 may be subject to new tax policies and corresponding VAT shall be paid. Starting July 1, the logistics line of Sensitive Air Cargo will be subject to the new tax policies, with VAT levied as per policies of destination customs. You can use this line as usual.
