Dear users,
Greetings!
Upon notice from Japan Post, starting from today, all imported shipment containing plants need to pass the inspection conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. Japan Post also puts forward the specific requirements for import preconditions for shipment containing plants, inspection certificates, and the types of imported shipment.
For details, please click: Meanwhile, given the recent outbreaks of African swine fever and foot-and-mouth disease, Japan has stepped up import inspection of animal products to prevent the spread of infectious diseases via international parcels. It has also updated the rules on import of animal products, and you can click here to view details: (www.maff.go.jp/aqs/english/product/import.html).
Please do not send prohibited items, and truthfully declare what’s inside the shipment to the customs, so as to avoid getting the shipment returned, confiscated or destroyed due to import bans. Consequences arising from violations of the rules shall be borne by you.
Thank you for your understanding!
