[Annoucement] Notice on Adjustment of Tariff Threshold in Indonesia for Import Parcels

Dear users, Greetings! Upon notice from logistics providers, the Indonesian customs will adjust the tariff threshold for imported parcels starting from 1 Jan., 2020, that is, declared value of less than 3 USD instead of less than 75 USD. If the declared value is less than 3 USD, customs clearance and payment of tax are still required if the parcel is subject to random inspection by logistics providers or Indonesian customs due to suspicion of low declared value. At the same time, as per notice from logistics providers, Indonesia Line needs to collect pre-paid duties so as to control the probability of customs clearance anomalies and ensure the overall timeliness and service level of parcel shipping. Since the feature of collecting pre-paid duties is currently not available in our system, we will ship your parcel as usual, and our customer service will contact you for the payment of duties. Please pay attention to inbox messages and email notification. Tariff rate of Indonesia for your reference (when the declared amount exceeds 3 USD) : 1. Items other than footwear, bags and apparel shall be taxed at 18% of the declared value. 2. All bags shall be taxed at 44% of the declared value. 3. All footwear shall be taxed at 56% of the declared value. 4. All apparel shall be taxed at 50% of the declared value. We suggest that you choose other routes instead of Indonesian Line to submit your parcel, and actively pay attention to the tracking info to apply for customs clearance in time.
